High Court Bombay notifies recruitment for the post for a District Judge

The High Court of Bombay has notified recruitment for the post of District Judge in the Judicial Service of the State of Maharashtra. The eligible candidates can apply following the given guidelines:

Details of the post:

1. Name of the post: District Judge
2. Total vacancies available: 11

Eligibility criteria:

Educational qualification:

• The candidate must be an Indian citizen with a holder of Degree of Law
• The candidate must be practicing as an Advocate in the High Court or Courts subordinate for not less than seven years
  or
• The candidate must have worked as a Public Prosecutor or Government Advocate for not less than seven years.

1. Age limit: 35-45 years (General Category)
2. The candidates belonging to OBC and SC/ST category have an age relaxation of 3 years and should not be more than 48 years old.
3. Pay scale: Rs 51,550- Rs 63,070 + allowances.

Application procedure:

1. The candidates must visit the official website www.bombauhighcourt.nic.in and fill in the application form with all the required details.
2. The application form should be sent along with a Demand Draft of Rs 1,000 for General Category candidates and Rs 500 in case of ST/SC candidates, payable at Bombay in favour of 'Assistant Registrar, for Registrar   General,   High Court, A.S., Bombay' to office of the Registrar General, High Court, Fort, Mumbai 400032.
3. Selection procedure: The candidates will be selected on the basis of a written examination followed by an interview.
