Educational Qualification

1. Engineer- Candidates applying for the post should possess Bachelor of Engineering in computer science or information technology or electronics & communication branch, with an aggregate of 60 percent from a recognised university or institute.
2. Technician- ITI (NCVT) in electronics mechanical/radio & TV / electrical/PASAA/ 'O' Level computer course equivalent to Foundation Level Course with 60 percent marks and minimum of an year apprenticeship under the Apprenticeship Act. 1961.
3. Age Limit: Candidates applying for the post of engineer must not exceed the age limit of 30 and for the post of technicians limit is 40 years.

Pay Scale

1. Engineer- Selected candidates will be place in the pay scale of Rs 16400-40500
2. Technician- Selected candidates will be place in the pay scale of Rs 7300-18100

Educational qualification:

1. Junior Assistants: The candidates applying for this post should have cleared their Class 10+2 in any discipline. The candidates should possess a minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute. Besides, the candidates should be proficient in computer word processing and spread sheet. Those with computer skills and stenography skills will be preferred.
2. Technical Assistants: The candidates applying for this post should have acquired a diploma in engineering in a relevant field. Or the candidates should have done their BE/ B.Tech. Those with PGDCA will be preferred. 
3. Technicians: The candidates applying for this pot should have done their BSc in relevant field. Or the candidates should have completed their Class 12th with ITI in appropriate trade (technician/ work assistant). The candidates with matriculation certificate and ITI certificate of two year's duration in appropriate trade (technician/ work assistant) will also be eligible to apply. The candidates holding a diploma in engineering will also be considered eligible.
4. Registrar: The candidates applying for this post should possess a Masters degree in any discipline. The candidates with a qualification in the areas of Management/ Engineering/ Law will be preferred.

Selection process:

• The candidates will be selected on the basis of their performances in the trade test and interview.

Pay Scale:

• Junior Assistants: PB-1 of Rs 5, 200-20, 200 with GP of Rs 2, 000 per month.
• Technical Assistants: PB-2 of Rs 9, 300-34, 800 with GP of Rs 4, 200 per month.
• Technicians: PB-1 of Rs 5, 200-20, 200 with GP of Rs 2, 000 per month.
• Registrar: PB-4 of Rs 37, 400-67, 000 with GP of Rs 10, 000 per month.

• In order to apply, the candidates are required to send their duly filled application forms to The Registrar, NIT, Hamirpur (HP) 177-005' by post. The candidates are required to send the fee DD in original and attested copies of required certificates/ documents along.
