The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has invited applications for the recruitment of candidates to 41 posts. The interested and eligible candidates must send in their applications on or before April 15.

Eligibility criteria

1. Educational qualification: The candidates applying for the above posts must have a postgraduation degree in Agriculture with specialisation in Agronomy or postgraduation degree in Horticulture or postgraduation in Agriculture with specialisation in Plant Biotechnology or postgraduation in Plant Biotechnology.  
2. Age limit: The candidates applying for the above posts must not exceed the age of 35 years. 
3. Experience:The candidates must have an experience of three years in their specialised fields.
4. Selection procedure: The candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the interview, conducted by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
5. How to apply: The candidates must send in their applications through a proper channel. The candidates must attach attested copies of their documents and certificates along with the form. The candidates must affix the Indian Postal Stamp of Rs 100.
6. Application fee: The candidates must submit an application fee of Rs 500 by demand draft or Indian Postal Order (IPO) in the name of Coffee Board General Fund Non-Plan Account.
7. Important dates: The candidates must send in their applications on or before April 15.

2. For the post of Programme Assistant: The candidates applying for this post should possess a Bachelors degree in Agriculture or should have attained equivalent qualifications from a recognised university.

The candidates having a work experience in similar field with farming communities in reputed organisations will be preferred.

3. For the post of Skilled Supporting Staff: The candidates applying for this post should have at least one year of experience in a reputed organisation.

Note: For applying for either of the aforementioned posts, the candidates should be able to read, write and speak in Bengali.

Pay Scale:

1.    Subject Matter Specialist: Pay band PB - 3 and pay scale of Rs 15,600 to Rs 39, 100 plus grade pay of Rs 5, 400 per month.
2.    Programme Assistant: Pay band PB - 2 and pay scale of Rs 9, 300 to Rs 34, 800 plus grade pay of Rs 4, 200 per month.
3.    Skilled Supporting Staff: Pay band PB - 1 and pay scale of Rs 5, 200 to Rs 20, 200 plus grade pay of Rs 1, 800 per month.

Selection procedure:

The candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in written test/ trade test/ practical/ skill test/ interview.
