The Sikkim Public Service Commission (SPSC) has invited applications for recruitment to the post of Prosthetic and Orthotic Engineer on temporary basis. Eligible candidates can apply before November 15, 2014.

Vacancy Details

• Name of Post: Prosthetic and Orthotic Engineer
• Number of post: 1 post
• Pay Scale: PB-2 of Rs 9,300-34,800 plus grade pay of Rs 42,00.
• Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Prosthetic and Orthotics from a recognised university as approved by Rehabilitation Council of India. Candidates must be in possession of either Sikkin Subject Certificate or Identification certificate issued by the competent authority under relevant order of the state government.
• Age Limit: Candidates must have attained the age of 18 years, but should not have exceeded 30 years as on November 1, 2014.

• Complete application form accompanied by attested copies of Class X and XII marksheet and certificate, degree marksheet/degree certificate awarded by a recognised university as approved by the Rehabilitation Council of India, valid local employment card issued by the competent authority of the government of Sikkim, valid certificate of identification/Sikkim Subject Certificate, valid category certificate from BL/SC/ST/MBC/OBC issued by the competent authority of the government of Sikkim, marital status certificate in respect of female candidates, no objection certificate from the appointing authority/head of the department in case of employed candidate in regular establishment under government of Sikkim.

The National Institute of Technology Sikkim (NIT Sikkim) has invited job applications for recruitment to various faculty and staff posts on deputation basis. Interested and eligible candidates have to apply for the job before July 1, 2014.

Vacancy details:

1) Superintendent/ Accountant:

• Salary: Rs 20000 to Rs 30000 per month
• Eligibility criteria: The candidate should possess a Master's degree in Commerce/MBA (Finance) with at least three-year experience in handling accounts in Central Government Organizations. He or she should also have passed ICWA/ICAI Intermediate and/or such professional degree/ diploma with two-year experience in Government Organizations. Candidates with DCA/Tally ERP 9 work experience will be preferred.

2) Accounts Assistant:

• Salary: Rs 15000 to Rs 20000 per month
• Eligibility criteria: The candidate should have completed his or her Graduation (preferably with Commerce) with at least two-year experience in handling accounts in Central Government Organizations along with experience in computerised accounting. Candidates with DCA/Tally ERP 9 work experience will be preferred.

3) Library Assistant:

• Salary: Rs 15000 to Rs 18000 per month
• Eligibility criteria: The candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation Science or an equivalent professional degree with superior knowledge of computerised library service and two years of experience in relevant field with practical knowledge of Library Automation is preferable.

4) Lab Technician for Physics Department:

• Salary: Rs 15000 to Rs 20000 per month
• Eligibility criteria: The candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in Science with honours in respective subject. M.Sc. in relevant subject is highly desirable. Candidates with two years of experience in relevant field will be preferred.
