Visakhapatnam Port Trust invites applications for recruitment of apprentice

Visakhapatnam Port Trust has released a recruitment notice for employing candidates as Trade Apprentices under Apprenticeship Act 1961.
Vacancies-
  1. The candidates will be recruited in the following trades:
  2. Welder - 09
  3. Electrician - 12
  4. Fitter - 21
  5. Mechanic (Motor Vehicle) - 03
  6. Carpenter - 03
  7. Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic - 01
  8. Electronics Mechanic - 05
  9. Turner - 04

Eligibility-

Welder - 
  1. The applying candidate should have Passed ITI in the trade of Welder. Electrician - 
  2. The applying candidate should have Passed ITI in the trade of Electrician.
Fitter - 
  1. The applying candidate should have Passed ITI in the trade of Fitter.
  2. Mechanic (Motor Vehicle) - 
  3. The applying candidate should have Passed ITI in the trade of Mechanic (Motor Vehicle)
Carpenter - 
  1. The applying candidate should have Passed ITI in the trade of Carpenter.
  2. Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic - 
  3. The applying candidate should have Passed ITI in the trade of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic. Electronics Mechanic - 
  4. The applying candidate should have Passed ITI in the trade of Electronic Mechanic.
Turner - 
  1. The applying candidate should have Passed ITI in the trade of Turner.

Period of training-
  • Welder - Selected candidates will be trained for 01 year
  • Electrician - Selected candidates will be trained for 01 year
  • Fitter - Selected candidates will be trained for 01 year
  • Mechanic (Motor Vehicle) - Selected candidates will be trained for 01 year
  • Carpenter - Selected candidates will be trained for 02 years
  • Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic - Selected candidates will be trained for 01 year
  • Electronics Mechanic - Selected candidates will be trained for 01 year
  • Turner - Selected candidates will be trained for 01 year

Qualification: Candidates should have passed matriculation/ 10th class (10 + 2 system) or equivalent recognised examination from recognized Board/ University with not less than 50% Marks and must have ITI Degree (NCVT) in the Trades.

Selection Procedure: Candidates are selected based on written or viva-voice test.
Application Fee: Candidates have to take Indian Postal Order (IPO) for Rs.40/- payable in favour of FA & CAO, East Central Railway/ Hajipur, payable at Patna and no fee for SC/ ST/ PH/ Ex-Serviceman/ Women candidates.
