Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has invited applications for recruitment at the post of technical attendant. The interested and eligible candidates can apply by April 18.

Eligibility criteria:
  1. Educational qualifications:The candidates applying for this post are required to have qualified their Class 10 from an institute recognised by the State Board. 
  2. Other qualifications:The candidates should possess 2nd class wireman's licence.
  3. Experience:The candidates should have some experience in operation of lifts and some knowledge of electrical work connected with lifts. Lift Attendant's authorization/licence/certificate from a competent authority as per requirement stipulated by the State Government/Union Territory is also required.
  4. Age limit:The candidates applying for the post should age between 18 and 25 years.
  5. Selection process:The candidates will be short listed on the basis of their performances in the written test/interview.
  6. Emoluments:The candidates will be paid Rs 16,215 per month (approximately).
  7. Application process: In order to apply, the candidates are required to send their duly filled applications to "the Regional Director, Reserve Bank of India, Human Resource Management Department, Recruitment Section, Central Vista, Sector- 17, Chandigarh-160017". Eligibility


  1. Engineering Assistant: Diploma in Mechanical or Automobile/Electrical/Electronics & Communication/Electronics & Telecommunication/Electronics & Radio Communication/Instrumentation & Control/Instrumentation & Process Control Electrical  Engineering from a government recognised institute with minimum 55 per cent marks.
  2. Two-year post-job work experience in the required field is preferrable. Candidates should have working knowledge of computer.
  3. Technical Attendant-I: Matric/10th Pass with ITI from a government recognised Institute.
  4. Two-year post-job work experience in the required field is preferrable. Candidates should have working knowledge of computer.
  5. Age limit: Between 18 and 26 years as on October 31, 2014.
Selection Procedure

  1. The selection procedure will comprise Written Test, Trade Test & Personal
  2. Interview for Engineering Assistant (Mechanical/Electrical/T&I) and Written Test, Physical Fitness Test & Personal Interview for Technical
    Attendant-I.
  3. Candidates shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the Written Test would be called for Personal Interview and Trade/Physical Fitness Test. Candidates will have to pass through each stage including medical fitness for being adjudged as suitable for selection.
Pay Scale:
  1. Grade IV: Rs 11900 - Rs 32000
  2. Grade I: Rs 10500 - Rs 24500
