Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has invited online applications for the recruitment to the posts of of Assistant Foreman at Electrical Maintenance and Junior Engineer at Estate Office. The posts are for an initial period of three years, which may be extended on basis of performance. The last date for online application is March 20, 2014.

Vacancies
  • Assistant Foreman at Electrical Maintenance: 1 post
  • Salary: Pay Band 9,300 - 34,800 (PB-2), Grade Pay: 4,200 and total Emoluments (incl. HRA) are 32,740 per month 
  • Eligibility: Age of the candidate should not be above 32 years. Candidate should have completed B.E/B.Tech or Diploma specializing in Electrical Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering of minimum three years duration and should have three years working experience after having completed the qualifying engineering course.

Jr. Engineer at Estate Office: 3 posts
  • Salary: Pay Band 9,300 - 34,800(PB-2), Grade Pay: 4,200 and total Emoluments (incl. HRA) are 32,740 per month. 
  • Eligibility: Age of the candidate should not be above 32 years. Candidate should have completed B.E/B.Tech specializing in Civil Engineering; candidates with experience in relevant work will be given preference. 

Selection

Eligible candidates will be selected for above mentioned posts on the basis of a written test (tentative) and an interview.

Candidates can apply for the posts through the online application form available at the IIT Bombay website. After completing the online application form, print a copy and send it with self attested copies of certificates and mark-sheets in support of qualifications to the given address. Application fees can be paid online or through a demand draft. The print out of application form with required documents should reach the given address latest by March 31, 2014.

SC/ST/PH/ Women candidates are not required to submit application fees.
