Instrument Research and Development Establishment (IRDE), Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence has invited applications for recruitment for selection of the senior research fellowship and junior research fellowship for a period of two years (Extendable).

Eligibility:
For Senior Research Fellowship: The candidates applying for this post should possess M.Tech degree in Optics Technology/ Applied Optics with first division. The candidates should have acquired a first division in graduate level as well. Also, the candidate having interest in research for pursuing Ph. D. will be preferred.
For Junior Research Fellowship: The candidates applying for this post should possess MSc degree in Physics/ Applied Physics/ Electronics/ Photonics/ Optoelectronics/ Laser Technology or the candidates should have a B.Tech degree in Electronics and Communication/ Mechanical Engineering/ Electrical Engineering/ Computer Science/ Engineering Physics/ Optics/ Optoelectronics with first division.
Also, the candidates having a M. Tech degree with specialization in fields related to Optics/ Optoelectronics/ Laser Technology/ Photonics will be preferred.

The candidates should not be more than 28 years in age on the last date of application of receipt.
Pay Scale:
For Senior Research Fellowship: A monthly stipend of Rs 18, 000 will be provided.
For Junior Research Fellowship: A monthly stipend of Rs 16, 000 will be provided.
Selection Procedure:
The candidates will be selected on the basis of screening test followed by an interview.
Also, the candidates who have qualified UGC/ CSIR (NET - JRF)/ NET/ GATE will be directly eligible for the interview.
