The Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) has invited applications for the recruitment of Economist, Chief Economist, Chartered Accountant and Chief Customer Officer. Selected candidates will be hired on a contract basis and will be posted at the central office in Chennai. The last date for registration is August 30, 2014.

HERE ARE THE DETAILS:
Economist: 1 post
  • Salary: Rs 60,000 per month all inclusive subject to deduction of taxes
  • Eligibility: The age of the candidate should be below 40 years. The candidate should have completed postgraduation in Economics with specialisation in monetary/financial economics or econometrics from a recognised Indian/foreign university/institute. Those candidates with doctoral degree in areas of money/banking/international finance will be given preference.
  • Experience: Candidate should have minimum three years of experience as an Economist in a commercial bank/financial institution or teaching experience as a lecturer in economics.

Chief Economist: 1 post
  • Salary: Rs 75,000 per month all inclusive subject to deduction of taxes
  • Eligibility: The age of the candidate should be between 45 and 62 years. The candidate should have completed postgraduation in Economics with specialisation in monetary/financial economics or econometrics from a recognised Indian/foreign university/institute. Those candidates with doctoral degree in areas of money/banking/international finance will be given preference.
  • Experience: Candidate should have a minimum 10 years of experience as an Economist in a commercial bank/financial institution or teaching experience as a lecturer in economics. 
Chartered Accountant: 1 post
  • Salary: Rs 60,000 per month all inclusive subject to deduction of taxes
  • Eligibility: The age of the candidate should be below 62 years. Candidates should have completed final examination for Chartered Accountants. Candidates who have passed ACS and/or ICWA will be given preference
  • Experience: Candidate should have retired at a rank not below the rank of Assistant General Manager with minimum 10-12 years of hands-on-experience in a public sector bank.

Chief Customer Service Officer: 1 post
  • Salary: Rs 60,000 per month all inclusive subject to deduction of taxes
  • Eligibility: The age of the candidate should be below 60 years. Candidates should have retired as a general manager from a public sector bank. 
  • Experience: Candidate should have minimum of 10 years of experience in the operational front.

SelectionEligible candidates will be selected for the posts on the basis of performance in a personal interview.
