Supreme Court of India has invited applications for recruitment to various positions by engaging eligible candidates.
Vacancies-
  1. Senior Court Assistant (Senior Translator)
  2. Court Assistant (Junior Translator)
Eligibility-
  • Senior Court Assistant (Senior Translator)- The applying candidate should have Master's Degree of a recognized University, Diploma/Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English and vice versa from University/Institute recognized by the Government; or the applying candidate should have 3 years experience in translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central/ State Government offices/Parliament/State Legislature Secretariats or Central/State Public Sector Undertakings/High Courts/Supreme Court of India. Knowledge of Computer Operation is also essential.
  • Court Assistant (Junior Translator)
  • The applying candidate should be Graduate with English/Hindi as one of the languages at the degree level and Diploma/Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English and vice versa from University/Institute recognized by the Government; or
  • The applying candidate should have 2 years experience in translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central/State Government offices/Parliament/State Legislature Secretariats or Central/State Public Sector Undertakings/High Courts. Knowledge of Computer Operation is also essential.

Salary-
  • Senior Court Assistant (Senior Translator)-Selected candidates will be paid in a Pay Band of Rs. 9300-34800/- + Grade Pay of Rs. 4600/-
  • Court Assistant (Junior Translator) - Selected candidates will be paid in a Pay Band of Rs. 9300-34800/- + Grade Pay of Rs. 4200/

Selection Process-
  • Candidates will be selected on the basis of a written test:
  • A written test of General English and General Knowledge with multiple choice answers ( Objective Type) - 30 Marks
  • Translation from Hindi to English (60 Marks)
  • Translation from English to Hindi (60 Marks)
