Gujarat PSC to recruit 70 officers

Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) has invited applications for recruitment to the posts of Research Officer in Gujarat Statistical Service, Class-II, Under  General Administrative Department and Municipal Health Officer, Class-I.

Vacancies: 70

1. Research Officer: 30 posts
2. Municipal Health Officer: 40 posts

Pay Scale:

• Research Officer: Rs 9,300-34,800 + GP Rs 4,600
• Municipal Health Officer: Rs 9,300-34,800 + GP Rs 5,400

Eligibility Criteria

1. Research Officer: Candidates should have a post graduate degree with Statistics or Applied Statistics or Mathematical Statistics or Economics or Applied Economics or Business Economics or Econometrics or Mathematics as principal subject. Maximum age of the candidate should be 32 years as on the last date of receipt of application.
2. Municipal Health Officer: Candidates should have MBBS degree or registered qualification under the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council.
3. Maximum age of the candidate should be 35 years as on the last date of receipt of application.
4. Candidates should have basic knowledge of Computer Application and adequate knowledge of Gujarati and/or Hindi or both for both the posts.

Selection Process

• Selection will be made on the basis of performance in Preliminary Examination/Interview to be decided depending on the number of applicants.
