The National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology (NIIST), Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala has published an employment notification for the posts of Project Assistant. NIIST, Thiruvananthapuram is a constituent laboratory of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research(CSIR). Its mandate is to conduct research and development activities of the highest quality in areas related to effective utilisation of resources of the region and of fundamental importance to the country. Currently NIIST is engaged in R & D programmes in areas related to agro-processing, chemical sciences, materials science and technology, biotechnology, process engineering and environmental technology.

Name of the Posts: Project Assistant
- Pay Scale: The selected candidates will get a salary of Rs 30000 to 43000 per month.
- Age Limit: Candidates should not have be above 35 years. Age relaxation is applicable as per the rules.
- Educational Qualification: The interested candidates must have passed first class in M.Sc/M.Tech Biotechnology/Biochemical Engineering/Microbiology followed by Ph.D. Research experience in environment-related field or have an equivalent qualification from a recognised board/university.
- Selection Procedure: Interested candidate will be selected on the basis of a written test and an interview.
