The West Bengal State Health and Family Welfare Samiti has invited applications for recruitment for the post of ENT Surgeon under the National Programme for Prevention and Control of Deafness (NPPCD) for State and District level.
Post details:
  1. Name of the post: ENT Surgeon for District Hospital
  2. Total posts available: 13 (one for each district)

Eligibility criteria:
  1. Educational qualifications: A postgraduate degree or a diploma approved by Medical Council of India in ENT is a pre-requisite.
  2. Age Limit: A candidate can only apply if they are below the age of 62 years.
  3. Pay Scale: The salary will amount to Rs 50,000 per month.  
  4. Selection procedure: The candidate will be shortlisted on the basis of a walk-in interview.
  5. There will also be a scale of scoring before the candidate gets selected. Refer to the official website www.wbhealth.gov.in  for more details.

Application Process:
In order to apply, the originals and photocopies of the following documents duly attested by a Gazetted officer or head of any recognised educational institution are necessary:
  • The candidate should possess a photo identity proof such as passport/voter ID card/Pan Card
  • A proof of permanent residential address would be required as well
  • A board approved marksheet or an admit card for the age proof
  • An MBBS pass certificate along with the registration certificate
  • A certificate of a successfully completed internship
  • The marksheet and passing certificate of the postgraduate degree/diploma
An experience certificate with the following is a requisite. In the absence of these details, the experience of a candidate shall be nullified:
  • Name of the post
  • Employer's name
  • Employee's name
  • Date of joining
  • Date of leaving
If the candidate is a retired employee, they should submit the necessary retirement related documents.
Important dates: The interview willll be held in the State NCD Cell, GTZ Building, Ground Floor, Swastya Bhawan compound, sector five, Kolkata on May 29.  The reporting time is 11 am.
