India Reserve Battalion Police Department, Puducherry has invited applications from the eligible candidates to fill the various posts of police constables (Male).  The last date to apply for the post is November 10, 2014.

Eligibility

• Educational Qualification: Candidates should have passed in 10+2 or its equivalent.
• Age Limit: Candidates age should be between 18 to 22 years as on September 30, 2014.
• Pay Scale: Selected candidates would get Rs 5200-20,200+ GP Rs 2000
• Selection procedure: The eligible applicants shall be issued a call letter to appear for the Physical Measurement and Physical Efficiency test.
• Physical Measurement: Candidates will be screened first for Height and Chest, weight.
• Physical Efficiency test: Candidates who satisfy the above conditions of will be admitted for the Physical Efficiency.
• Written Test: All candidates who qualify in the physical tests will undergo a written test. The questions will be in objective-type and will be generally of S.S.L.C. standard. The question paper will be in single parts of 2.30 hours duration with a maximum of 150 mark in each part.
• Medical test: The candidates selected in the written test will be put through medical examination to access their medical fitness as per the medical standards prescribed through the standing order issued by the government.
• Training: The candidates shall be placed on probabtion for a period of two years from the date of joining the post as per recruitment rule (including the Basic Training for 1 year and they shall undergo an induction course/capsule training and other required trainnigs)
