CSIR-SERC recruits for Technical Assistant post 2014

The CSIR-Structural Engineering Research Centre (SERC) has invited job applications for recruitment to the post of Technical Assistant. Interested and eligible candidates are required to apply on or before June 18, 2014.

Vacancy details:

• Technical Assistant (Unreserved): 1 post
• Technical Assistant (Scheduled Caste): 1 post
• Total number of vacancies: 2 posts
• Pay scale: Rs 9300-34800 with GP Rs 4200

Eligibility criteria

• The applicant should have passed his or her class 12th with Science subjects followed by Diploma in Electronics and Communication in Engineering or Technology or its equivalent.

Age limit

• Technical Assistant (Unreserved):  The age of the candidate should not be more than 28 years as on June 18, 2014.
• Technical Assistant (Scheduled Caste): The age of the candidate should not be more than 33 years as on June 18, 2014.

Application fee:

• The candidates from the General and OBC categories are required to submit an application in the form of Demand draft of Rs 100 drawn on any nationalized bank valid for a period of three months in favour of the Director, CSIR-SERC, payable at Chennai.
• The candidates from the SC/ST/PH (PWD)/Women/CSIR Employees/Abroad category are exempted from payment of application fee.

Selection process:

• The candidates will be selected for recruitment to the advertised post on the basis of their performance in the test / interview.
