Gujarat Public Service Commission (PSC) has invited applications for recruitment at the post of Assistant Engineer. Interested and eligible candidates can apply latest by April 30.

Eligibility:
Age limit:
  • Candidates willing to apply should not age more than 30 years.

Educational qualification:
  • Candidates are required to possess a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from a University recognised by the Government of Gujarat. Also, candidates are required to have a basic knowledge of computer applications.

Pay Scale:
  • Rs 9, 300-34, 800 (grade pay- Rs 4, 600)

  • Candidates can apply by logging on to the official website of the Gujarat PSC. They are required to fill the applications online.

Selection process:
  • Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performances in the interview and a preliminary test.

Gujarat PSC:
As per the provision of the Constitution of India formation of the Gujarat Public Service Commission has been made on May 1, 1960.
The functions of the Gujarat PSC are listed below:
To conduct examinations for appointment to the services of the State.
To advise on -
  • The matters relating to methods of recruitment to various Civil Services of the State;
  • The principles to be followed in making appointments to civil services of the State and granting promotions, transfers from one service to another and the suitability of candidates for such appointments, promotions and transfers;
  • All the disciplinary matters affecting the Government servants,
  • The claims of reimbursements of legal expenses incurred by Government Servants in defending themselves in legal proceedings initiated against them for the act done or purported to be done by them while executing their duty;
  • The claims for granting injury-pensions to Government Servants; and
  • Any other matters that may be referred to the Commission by His Excellency the Governor.
