National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) under Department of Road Transport & Highways, Ministry of Road Transport & Highway has invited applications for recruitment to 28 posts through Deputation/ on Promotion basis. Eligible candidates can apply for the post on or before May 12, 2014.
Vacancy Details
Total vacancies: 28
Manager (Finance & Accounts): 22 posts
  • Eligibility: Graduate with Master's Degree in Commerce
OR
  • Final exam of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India/ Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India
OR
  • 2 years Master of Business Administration with specialization in Finance
OR
  • Member of organized Group 'A' Cost/ Accounts/ Finance Service of the Central Government with 7 years of experience.

Mode of Recruitment: on Deputation
  1. Eligibility Criterion for deputation: from candidates empanelled for Under Secretary in the Government of India, holding analogous post in the Central/ State Government Department, Autonomous Body, Public Sector Undertaking or with 5 years of regular service in the Pay Structure of PB-3 with Grade Pay of Rs 5400or equivalent in IDA pattern or with 6 years of regular service in the Pay Structure of Pay Band-2 with Grade Pay of Rs 4800 and having the qualifications and experience as stipulated below:
  2. Pay Scale: PB-3 of Rs.15600-39100 with Grade Pay of Rs.6600 (in CDA pattern)
  3. Period of Recruitment: Not more than 5 years

Assistant Manager (Administration): 5 posts
  1. Eligibility: Graduate with Post graduate Diploma/Degree in Business Administration/Human Resources Development or Degree in Law.
  2. Mode of Recruitment: for 4 posts - Deputation; for 1 post - promotion;
  3. By Promotion: through limited selection process from candidates holding the post of a Private Secretary on regular basis or from candidates holding the post of Personal Assistant/Receptionist/Caretaker and Storekeeper for a period of at-least five years on regular basis.
  4. By Deputation: from officers under Central/ State/ Union Territories Governments or Universities or Recognized Research Institutions or PSUs or Semi Government or Statutory or Autonomous Organizations or other Government Bodies:
  5. Holding analogous post in PB-2 of Rs 9300-34800 with Grade pay of Rs 4800 on regular basis; OR
  6. With 5 year of regular service in the post in the PB-2 of Rs 9300-34800- with Grade pay of Rs 4200; and possessing the educational qualifications.

Caretaker-cum-storekeeper: 1 post
Classification: Group B
  1. Eligibility: Matriculation or equivalent with at least 5 year experience in store keeping and maintenance of large office building
  2. Mode of Selection: Transfer on Deputation/ Promotion basis
  3. Period of Deputation: Initially 5 years; extendable for a period of 2 years

For recruitment through deputation/promotion:
  1. By Deputation: from candidates having the qualifications stipulated in Government and holding an analogous post in a Central/ State Government Department or PSUs or Autonomous Body with 2 year of regular service
  2. Maximum Age limit for all post: 30 years

Selection Procedure:
  1. Selection would be done through deputation/ promotion.
  2. Only short-listed candidates will be considered for selection.
  3. The posts carry All India Service liability. Therefore, only those willing to serve anywhere in India may apply.
