National Seeds Corporation recruitment for Consultants and Technical Assistants posts

National Seeds Corporation (NSC), under Department of Agriculture and Cooperation, Oil Seeds Division, Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India has invited applications for the recruitment to 4 posts of Consultants and 5 posts of Technical Assistants. Selected candidates will be hired on contract basis under National Mission on Oilseeds and Oil Palm (NMOOP) for an initial period of one year. Last date for application is April 14, 2014.

Vacancies

Consultants: 4 posts for the following departments:

• 2 Consultants for major oilseeds viz., Groundnut, Soybean, Rapeseed & Mustard, Sunflower;
• 1 Consultant for production/protection technology
• 1 Consultant for Oil Palm

1. Salary: Rs 70,000 per month (consolidated)
2. Eligibility: Age of the candidate should be below 70 years. Candidate should have completed Doctorate degree in Agronomy/ Agriculture Extension/ Plant Breeding including Agriculture Botany with minimum 15 years of field experience in production/ improvement of oilseed crops including oil palm under ICAR, SAUs/Institute/DAC; Retired Officers of DAC with Grade pay of Rs 8,700 or equivalent for 5 years or more are also eligible. Candidate should have knowledge of computer applications such as MS Word, excel, power point, internet etc.

Technical Assistants under Technical Support Group of NMOOP: 5 posts

1. Salary: Up to maximum of Rs 30,000 per month (consolidated)
2. Eligibility: Age of the candidate should be below 70 years. Candidate should also have completed Masters Degree in Agronomy/ Agriculture Extension/ Plant Breeding including Agriculture Botany or any field of Agriculture or related fields. Candidates should have proficiency in computer applications like MS- Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet etc.
3. Candidates with experience of research, extensions and crop development will be preferred.

Selection

1. Eligible candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the interview.
