The Staff Selection Commission, Karnataka has invited applications for recruitment to the post of Assistant Epigraphist and Scientific Assistant. Interested and eligible candidates are required to send in their job applications before May 30, 2014.
Vacancy details:
- Assistant Epigraphist (Dravidian Inscriptions) in ASI, M/o Culture: 1 post, Pay: Rs 9300-34800 with Grade Pay of Rs 4200/-
- Scientific Assistant in the Directorate of Plant Protection Quarantine and Storage: 5 posts, Pay: Scientific Assistant: Rs 5200-20200 with Grade Pay of Rs 2800/-
Total Number of Post: Six posts
Eligibility criteria:
- For Assistant Epigraphist (Dravidian Inscriptions): The candidate should possess a Master's Degree in Tamil /Malayalam/Telugu/ Kannada with Ancient Indian History as a subject at Bachelor's degree level from a recognised university or equivalent; or Master's Degree in History with Ancient Indian History as a subject and Tamil/Malayalam/Telugu/Kannada as one of the subjects at Bachelor's degree level from a recognised university or equivalent. The age of the candidate should not be more than 30 years of age.
- Scientific Assistant: The candidate should possess a B.Sc. degree with Botany or Zoology or B.Sc. degree in Agriculture. The age of the candidate should be between 18 to 25 years of age.
Application fee:
- The candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs 50/- (Rupees fifty only). Woman candidates, Physically Handicapped, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and ExS are exempted for fee payment.
- Interested and eligible candidates have to download the application form from the Regional Office's website: http://ssckkr.kar.nic.in.
- They need to submit the duly filled application at the commission latest by May 30, 2014 (5.00 pm).
