Visvesvaraya Technological University invites applications for faculty positions

Applications are invited for teaching posts by Visvesvaraya Technological University in the Department of Post Graduate Studies located at Bangalore, Gulbarga and Mysore.

Vacancies

• In Dept. of PG Studies, Bangalore - 6 posts (1 Assistant Professor, 2 Associate Professors, 3 Assistant Professors.)
• In Dept. of PG Studies, Gulbarga - 4 posts (1 Assistant Professor, 1 Associate Professor, 2 Assistant Professors.)
• In Dept. of PG Studies, Mysore - 4 posts (1 Assistant Professor, 1 Associate Professor, 2 Assistant Professors.)

Age limit

• SC/ST/Categoy I - The maximum age limit should be 40 years.
• Other Backward Classes - The maximum age limit should be 38 years.
• General Merit - The maximum age limit should be 35 years.

Eligibility 

1. Assistant Professor -
2. Candidates should have a degree in B.E./B.Tech. and M.E./M.Tech. in relevant subject 
3. or equivalent qualification either in B.E./B.Tech. or M.E./M.Tech.
4. Associate Professor -
5. Candidates should have educational qualification in related field with five-year of experience in teaching industry of which at least two years shall be post Ph.d.
6. Professor-
7. Candidates should have educational qualification in related field with 10 years of experience in teaching industry of which at least five years shall be at the level of Associate Professor.

Salary

1. Assistant Professor- In the pay band of Rs 15600-39100 + AGP of Rs 6000
2. Associate Professor- In the pay band of Rs 37400-67000 + AGP of Rs 9000
3. Professor - In the pay band of Rs 37400-67000 + AGP of Rs 10000
