Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd., Mumbai has invited job applications for the post of fixed term Research Associates and fixed term Project Assistant to assist in various Research Projects. Interested and eligible candidates are required to apply before July 9, 2014.

Vacancy details:

1. Fixed Term Research Associates

• Stipend: Rs 50,000 to Rs 60,000 per month
• Specialization areas: Chemistry (Physical/Organic/Inorganic), Catalysis, Adsorption Technology, Electro Chemistry, Biotechnology/ Microbiology, Process Engineering/Chemical Engineering, CFD Modelling, Molecular Biology/Bioinformatics, Related Areas
• Duration of assignment: The assignment will initially be for a period of one year and may be extended by one more year if required.
• Eligibility criteria: The candidate should have a Ph.D in Organic Chemistry/Catalysis/ Inorganic Chemistry/Chemical Engineering/ Bio-technology/ Microbiology/Molecular Biology/Adsorption Technology/Electro Chemistry/CFD Modelling or related areas OR M. Tech in Chemical Engineering/ Bio-technology or related area and one year post M.Tech experience. The age of the candidate should not be more than 32 years as on March 12, 2014.
• The candidates who have done and submitted their Ph.D. thesis in mentioned subjects/disciplines are also eligible.

2. Fixed Term Project Assistants

• Stipend: Rs 30,000 to Rs 40,000 per month
• Duration of assignment: The assignment will initially be for a period of one year and may be extended by two more years if required.
• Eligibility criteria: The candidate should have done M.Sc. in Chemistry/Bio-technology/Micro-biology/related areas or B.Tech in Chemical Engineering/Bio-technology/Bio-informatics/related areas. The age of the candidate should not be more than 28 years as on March 12, 2014.

Selection procedure:

• The candidates will be selected for recruitment to the advertised posts on the basis of their performance in the screening test followed by personal interview.
