UPSC notifies for DFA CMS Recruitment 2014

Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW) Department of Health issued notification for a Competitive Examination-Combined Medical Services Examination to be held by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) in 2014 for the purpose of filling vacancies in the various services/posts in Govt Ministries/Departments.

  4. General duty Medical Officer Gr.-II in East Delhi Municipal Corporation, North Delhi Municipal
  5. Corporation and South Delhi Municipal Corporation
  6. General Duty Medical Officer in New Delhi Municipal Council
  • Eligibility Criteria: Candidate must have passed the written and practical part of the final M.B.B.S. Examination and must have attained 32 Years as on January 01, Age Relaxation -> 05 Years for SC/ST; 03 Years for OBC; 05 Years for Jammu and Kashmir Residents before 31st day of December, 1989; For other check out Official Notification.
  • Pay Scale: Rs. 15,600-39,100 in the Pay Band PB-3 with Grade Pay of Rs. 5400. Non-practicing allowance (NPA) and other allowances will be paid as per orders in force from time to time. The rate of NPA at present is 25% of basic pay (Pay in pay band+Grade Pay).

Selection Process:
  • Written Examination-(500 marks)-The candidates will take the written examination in two papers, each paper carrying a maximum of 250 marks. Each Paper will be of two hours duration.
  • Personality Test carrying 100 marks of such of the candidates who qualify on the results of the written examination.  
How to Apply:
  • Candidates have to apply in the prescribed format as available at the UPSC website. The prinout of the completed application form must reach the Under Secretary (CMS), Union Public Service Commission, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi-110069 on or before the specified date.
  • The envelope containing the application should be superscribed as 'Application for Combined Medical Services' Examination, 2014
