Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has invited job applications for the post of Food Safety Officer. Interested and eligible candidates have to apply before August 16, 2014.

- Name of posts: Food Safety Officer

- Name of department: Food Safety and Drug Administration Department
- Pay Scale: Rs. 9,300 - Rs. 34,800 (Grade Pay Rs 4,200)
Eligibility criteria:
The candidates should hold a bachelor's degree in Food Technology or Dairy Technology or Biotechnology or Oil Technology or Agricultural Science or Veterinary Sciences or Bio-Chemistry or Microbiology or postgraduate degree in Chemistry or degree in Medicine from a recognised university, or any other equivalent/ recognised qualification notified by the Central Government. The age of the candidates has to be between 21 and 40 years.
Application fee:
- General candidates: Rs 115
- Other Backward Class (OBC): Rs 115
- Scheduled Caste (SC): Rs 55
- Scheduled Tribe (ST): Rs 55
- Handicapped (PH): Rs 15
- The fee has to be paid through e-challan which can be deposited in State Bank of India or Punjab National Bank. Candidates can also make the payment through i-collect.
