Indian Army has invited applications for recruitment for the post of short service commission officers. The interested and eligible candidates can apply latest by August 31.

Eligibility criteria:
Educational qualification:
  • The candidates should possess a BDS/MDS degree with at least 55 per cent marks from a university recognised by the Dental Council of India (DCI). The candidates should have completed one year of rotatory internship recognised by the DCI by August 31, 2014. The candidates should also possess a permanent dental registration certificate valid up to December 31, 2014.
Age limit:
  • The candidates applying for this post should not be more than 45 years.
Selection process:
  • The candidates will be short-listed on the basis of their BDS marks and attempts taken in final year BDS, followed by an interview and medical fitness.
Pay Scale:
  • Rs15, 600-39, 100 + grade pay Rs 6, 100 + MSP of Rs 6, 000
Application fee:
  • The candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs 200 in the form of demand draft payable at New Delhi in favour of the "Director General Armed Forces Medical Services (AP Fund)".
How to apply:
  • In order to apply, the candidates are required to submit the duly filled application forms to the "Director General Armed Forces Medical Services (DGAFMS/DENTAL 2), Room No.25, L Block, Ministry of Defence, New Delhi-110001". The candidates need to send the attested copies of all required certificates/documents, passport size recent photographs, DD and one self-addressed envelope of size 23 cms x 10 cms with Rs 40 postal stamps along.
