University of Kashmir is recruiting for 5 vacant posts

The University of Kashmir has invited job applications to the post of Instructor Sculpture, Instructor Sitar, Instructor History of Art, Laboratory Assistant and Research Assistant. Interested and eligible candidates are required to apply before July 31, 2014.

• Instructor Sculpture: 1 post
• Instructor Sitar: 1 post
• Instructor History of Art: 1 post
• Laboratory Assistant: 1 post
• Research Assistant (Tenure): 1 post

Total No. of Vacancies: 5 posts
Eligibility criteria:

• Instructor Sculpture: The candidate should have a Masters' degree in the concerned discipline.
• Instructor Sitar: The candidate should have a Masters' degree in the concerned discipline with 2 years experience of having worked in a recognised Music Institute provided that academic qualification is relaxed by the competent authority for reasons to be recorded in case of eminent exponent of particular Gharana.
• Instructor History of Art: The candidate should have a Masters' degree in the concerned discipline.
• Laboratory Assistant: The candidate should have a Masters' degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
• Research Assistant (Tenure): The candidate should have a Masters' degree in Social Science/ Home Science/ Education with Statistics/ Economics/ Mathematics as one of the Subject at Graduation level.

Age limit:

•  The age of the candidate has to be between 18 to 40 years as on June 1, 2014.

Application fee:

• The candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs 200 drawn in favour of the Registrar, University of Kashmir, payable at J&K Bank, Hazratbal, Srinagar.

Selection criteria:

• The candidates will be selected for the advertised post on the basis of their performance in the written test/ interview.
