Directorate of School Education, Puducherry is recruiting for 19 vacant posts 2014

The Directorate of School Education (DSE), Government of Puducherry invited application for recruitment of 19 primary school teacher posts. The candidates eligible for the post can apply through prescribed format before 30 June 2014.

Vacancy details:

• Name of post: Primary School Teacher
• Number of posts: 19 posts
• Pay Scale: Rs 9,300 - 34,800 + Grade pay Rs 4200

Eligibility criteria:

• The candidates should have passed Higher Secondary or its equivalent with 50 per cent aggregate marks.
• He or she must have a diploma in Teacher Education or Certificate in Basic Teacher's Training of a duration of not less than 2 years offered by an institution recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education.
• The candidate must have studied the particular regional language (Tamil) as one of the subjects up to secondary level or as one of the subjects in the D.T.Ed Course or studied Diploma in Teacher Education / Certificate in Basic Teacher's Training in the relevant medium of instruction.
• The age of the candidate should be between 18 to 32 years of age.

Selection procedure:

• The candidates shall be selected for recruitment to the advertised post on the basis of a 100 mark selection process. Of that 85 per cent shall be for marks obtained in qualifying examinations and 15 per cent for Employment Exchange seniority.
