Army Medical Corps (AMCs) has invited applications for recruitment at the post of Short Service Commission (SSC) Officers. The interested and eligible candidates can apply latest by July 3.

Eligibility criteria:
  • Age limit:The candidates applying for this post should not be more than 45 years as on December 31, 2014.
  • Educational qualification: The candidates applying for this post should have completed their medical qualification included in first/ second schedule or part II of the third schedule of IMC Act 1956. The candidates who hold a post graduate degree/diploma (MD/ MS/ MCH/ DM/ DNB/ DLO/ DOMS/ DA) are also eligible to apply.
  • Pay scale: Rs 17, 160-39, 100 + GP Rs6, 100 + MSP Rs6, 000 + NPA @ the rate of 25 per cent of basic pay (Pay + GP + MSP) and dearness allowance.
  • Selection process: The candidates will be selected on the basis of their performances in the interview and their meeting the prescribed physical and medical standards.
  • Tenure of engagement: The candidates will be engaged for five years that are extendable to another nine years in two spells - first five years, second of four years.
  • Application fee: The candidates are required to pay an amount of Rs 200 in the form of a non-refundable demand draft to be drawn in favour of 'the Director General Armed Forces Medical Services (APF Fund)' payable at New Delhi.
How to apply:
  • In order to apply, the candidates are required to log in to the official website. The candidates are required to upload scanned copies of essential certificates/ documents and Xerox copies of fee DD.
  • On submitting the application form, the candidates are required to send a printout of the same to 'The DGAFMS/ DG-1A, Ministry of Defence, 'M' Block, Room No.60, Church Road, New Delhi - 110001' by post. The candidates are required to send the fee DD in original, copy of NCC certificates (if any), one self-addressed stamped envelope along.
