- The eligible candidates can appear for the written test comprising of sections- general awareness and aptitude, verbal/ non-verbal reasoning, numerical ability/ quantitative aptitude.
- The test of 100 marks will be held for duration of three hours. There will be a total of 150 questions, carrying one mark each. No negative marking is applicable.
- The syllabus paper shall be as per UPSC standard of I.E.S. for Engineering subjects, Civil Services for Management disciplines and M.Sc. level for others.
- The candidates will be tested on the basis of the knowledge in the subjects in essential qualification. For, e.g. a candidate who has qualified B.Tech (Mechanical) and who may otherwise be eligible for either of the posts of AEE (Drilling), AEE (Cementing), AEE (Production), AEE (Mechanical). Transport Officer arid Materials Management Officer shall be tested in the paper of Mechanical Engineering only.
- The candidates who qualify the written test will be further called for psychometric test and an interview.
- To qualify the interview, the candidates are required to attain at least 60 per cent marks.
- Final merit list will be prepared based on the following weightage criteria:
- Written test: 60 marks
- Interview: 15 marks
- Qualification: 25 marks
