Indian Navy notifies recruitment at various posts

The Indian Navy has invited applications for recruitment at the posts of stewards, cooks and topass. The interested and eligible candidates can apply latest by June 27.

Age limit:

• The candidates applying for either of the posts should be between 17 and 21 years of age as on April 1, 2015.

Educational qualification:

• Stewards: The candidates applying for this post should have passed their class 10th.
• Cooks: The candidates applying for this post should have passed their class 10th.
• Topass: The candidates applying for this post should have passed class sixth.

Work to be allotted:

1. Stewards: The selected candidates will have to serve food in the officers' messes as waiters. They will have to look after housekeeping, accounting of funds, wine and stores, preparation of menu etc. They will also be given other duties for efficient running of the organisation.
2. Cooks: The selected candidates will have to prepare food as per menu (both vegetarian and non-vegetarian, including handling of meat products) and accounting of ration. They will also be given other duties for efficient running of the organisation.
3. Topass: The selected candidates will have to maintain hygiene in washrooms and other areas. They will also be given other duties for efficient running of the organisation.

• Selection process: The candidates will be selected based on higher education and percentages acquired. They will have to undergo a physical efficiency test.

• Pay Scale: Pay Band Rs 5, 200-20, 200 with GP @Rs 2, 000, plus MSP @Rs 2, 000, plus DA.
