Odisha SSC notifies recruitment at 17 posts

Odisha Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has invited applications for recruitment at the post of 'Prison Welfare Officer'. The interested and eligible candidates can apply latest by July 25, 11:59pm.

Eligibility criteria:

Educational qualification:

• In order to be eligible to apply for this post, the candidates are required to possess a Bachelors degree. Besides, the candidates should have had Odia as a subject in the HSC. The candidates having Psychology or Sociology as one of the subject at degree level will be preferred.

Age limit:

• The candidates applying for this post should be between 21 and 32 years as on January 1, 2014.

Pay Scale:

• Rs 9, 300 to Rs 34, 800 plus grade pay of Rs 4, 200 per month

Selection process:

• The candidates will be selected on the basis of their performances in the written test to be followed by a viva and interview.

How to apply:

• In order to apply, the candidates are required to log in to the official website. The duly-filled application form must be submitted online itself.
• The candidates thereafter are required to take a hard copy of the same and send it to the "Secretary, Odisha Staff Selection Commission, Barrack No. - 1, Unit - V, Bhubaneswar - 751 054" by speed post or registered post. The candidates should send the self- attested photo copies of relevant certificates/testimonials in support of date of birth, qualifications, experience, category (SC/ ST/ PWD), etc. with a recent uploaded passport size photograph and a treasury challan or fee receipt along.

Application fees:

• The candidates are required to pay an amount of Rs 100 as application fee. The candidates belonging to the SC/ST category are exempted from the payment of application fees.
