Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has invited job applications for the post of Senior Medical Officer and General Duty Medical Officer. Interested and eligible candidates are required to apply for the post before July 19, 2014.

Total vacancies: 10 posts
I. Senior Medical Officer (SMO): 9 posts
a. General Medicine (Bhopal): 1 post
b. Orthopaedics (Bhopal, Jhansi): 2 posts (1 post each)
c. General Surgery (Haridwar): 1 post
d. Radiology (Bhopal, Haridwar): 2 posts (1 post each)             
e. Ophthalmology (Trichy): 1 post
f. Obs and Gynaecology (Haridwar): 1 post

Eligibility criteria:
The candidate should have an MBBS degree and Post Graduate Degree in the concerned specialty + one year relevant post qualification experience/ practice (OR) MBBS with Post Graduate Diploma in the concerned specialty + two years of relevant post qualification experience/ practice.
The age of the candidate should be 37 years as on June 2014.

II. General Duty Medical Officer (GDMO): 1 post (Ranipet)
Eligibility criteria:

• The candidate should have done MBBS with one year of relevant post qualification experience/ practice. The age of the candidate should be 32 years a s on June 1, 2014.

Selection process:

• The candidate will be selected on the basis of their performance in the written test and interview.

Application fee:

• The candidates have to deposit an application fee of Rs 250 in any of the branches of State Bank of India, into Power Jyoti A/c, No.30855948540 of HET, Piplani Branch, Bhopal-22 (code no.0519) in favour of 'Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, Bhopal' using the triplicate challan for payment of fee.
• The candidates have to enter the Journal No. issued by the bank on payment of fees the online application form. The BHEL copy of challan needs to be attached with the Acknowledgement Slip and sent to BHEL along with other documents.
• Candidates belonging to the SC/ ST/ PH category are exempt from payment of application fee.
