Eligibility criteria:

Educational qualification:
  • Chief Planner (Business Development): The candidates applying for this post are required to possess an MBA degree in Finance and Marketing. The candidates with background in public policy particular with urban experience in city development, business development and local economic development will be preferred.
  • Deputy Chief Planner: The candidates applying for this post are required to possess an MBA degree in Finance/ Economics. Or they should have a Masters degree in Business Process/ the candidates should possess a BE degree in Civil/ they should have LLB and should be graduates in town planning/ they should have a diploma in IT.
  • Managers: The candidates applying for this post are required to possess an MBA degree in Finance/ Economics. Or they should have a Masters degree in Business Process/ the candidates should possess a BE degree in Civil/ they should have LLB and should be graduates in town planning/ they should have a diploma in IT.
Pay scale:
  • Chief Planner (Business Development): The candidates will get initial consolidated salary of Rs 50, 000 per month for two years. After satisfactory results, the regular pay will be as Pay Band (PB - 3) and pay scale of Rs 15, 600 to Rs 39, 100 plus grade pay of Rs 7, 600 per month.    
  • Deputy Chief Planner: The candidates will get initial consolidated salary of Rs 47, 000 per month for two years. After satisfactory results, the regular pay will be as Pay Band (PB - 3) and pay scale of Rs 15, 600 to Rs 39, 100 plus grade pay of Rs 6, 600 per month.
  • Managers: The candidates will get initial consolidated salary of Rs 45, 000 per month for two years. After satisfactory results, the regular pay will be as Pay Band (PB - 3) and pay scale of Rs 15, 600 to Rs 39, 100 plus grade pay of Rs 6, 000 per month.
Selection process:
  • The candidates will be selected on the basis of their performances in the interview to be conducted by the administration.
How to apply:
  • In order to apply, the candidates are required to send their applications to the "Deputy Municipal Commissioner (Central Recruitment Authority), Brihanmumbai Mahanagarpalika, Municipal Head Office New Building, 6th Floor, Mumbai - 400 001". The candidates should send the attested copies of testimonials/ certificates relating to educational qualifications, date of birth, experience, category (SC/ ST/ OBC), etc along. Also, the candidates should affix one recent passport size photograph on the applications.
