Gujarat Public Service Commission has invited applications for Gujarat Administrative Service Class I and Gujarat Civil Service Class I and Class II examinations. Recruitment to Gujarat Administrative Service Class I and Gujarat Civil Service Class I and Class II posts will be conducted on the basis of performance in a preliminary exam, mains exam and interview. GPSC will be conducting the preliminary examination on October 12, 2014. Last date for application is June 30, 2014.

Vacancies - Class I


Gujarat Administrative Service: 35 posts
  • Salary: Pay scale Rs 15,600 - Rs 39,100 + 5,400 Grade pay and other allowances
  • Eligibility: Age of the candidate should be between 20 years and 30 years. The candidate should have a Bachelors degree in any stream (or equivalent) by a recognized university/institute. Candidates appearing for their final examination may apply provisionally, provided they meet the age requirement.

Deputy Superintendent of Police: 21 posts
  • Salary: Pay scale Rs 15,600 - Rs 39,100 + 5,400 Grade pay and other allowances
  • Eligibility: Age of the candidate should be between 20 years and 30 years. The candidate should have a Bachelors degree in any stream (or equivalent) by a recognized university/institute. District Registrar, Cooperative Societies: 2 posts

Selection
  • Eligible candidates will be selected for the posts based on their performance in the preliminary exam, mains exam and interview. Only candidates clearing the preliminary exam will be eligible for the mains exam. The preliminary examination, to be held on October 12, 2014, will consist of 3 Papers for a total of 500 marks: Verbal Skill Gujarati and Verbal Skill English (150 marks), Quantitative Skill and Test of Reasoning (150 marks) and General Studies (200 marks).
